Note from the director
It is with immense joy and gratitude that I introduce the Charis Foundation to you. Our journey began not with the intention of becoming an NGO, but with a simple act of compassion. It all started when we came across a child in need from Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. That small yet powerful moment was the humble beginning of what has now become a mission of hope, transformation, and love.
Over the last 20 years, our vision has steadily evolved, and our impact has grown. During this time, we have been able to serve and support more than 200 children—children who once felt hopeless and lost in life. These children now live with renewed confidence, hope, and brighter futures.
Our primary mission is to provide food and education to children in need. We firmly believe that education is the key to transforming lives, communities, and society as a whole. By nurturing young minds and offering them opportunities, we empower them to break free from the cycle of poverty and create a better tomorrow.
One of our most cherished dreams is to establish a school—a space where we can shape lives, nurture talents, and create an even greater impact on society. As we reflect on our journey, the most rewarding part has been seeing the joy, gratitude, and transformation in the lives of the children we’ve supported. Every smiling face tells a story of resilience, hope, and a future full of possibilities.
However, this mission is not ours alone. It takes a community to make a meaningful difference. We need your support to continue this journey of love and service. You can contribute by volunteering your time, sponsoring a child’s education, or becoming part of our home. No act of kindness is too small—just as tiny drops come together to form a mighty ocean, your support can help create a wave of change in the lives of these children.
Let us open our hearts to those who have lost theirs to despair. Together, we can rebuild hope, restore smiles, and bring light into the lives of the heartbroken.
Have a heart for the heartbroken. Together, we can make a difference.
